SelMed is a cushion constructed from a combination of high density foam and visco elastic memory foam giving outstanding resilience and recovery characteristics. A vapour permeable outer cover, with welded seams, increases patient comfort by reducing moisture build up from perspiration. Multi stretch properties conform to the patients shape without restricting movement. The SelMed cushion can be used in conjunction with any conventional mattress.

It is a common misconception that pressure ulcers usually occur when people spend long periods of time in bed. In fact, most tissue damage is caused by sitting incorrectly for long periods of time on unsuitable chairs.
