• New height adjustable shin pad
The central wheels are a unique innovation, because they allow the Rota Stand to be rolled up to the patient or client even after their feet have been positioned on the product.
Using Your Rotastand
Before using your rotastand adjust the height of the handlebar and the shin pad to suit the patient/client. the shin pad can be moved up or down 40mm by removing the two fixing screw and attaching it using the two alternative fixing holes. The Rota stand can be manoeuvred on its rear wheels and brought to position in front of the patient. Assist the patient to the front of the chair, ready to stand and place the patient feet on the non slip foot plate and gently wheel the Rotastand up to the patient on its central wheel using the footbar provided. The Rota stand should end up with the patients shins firmly against the shin pad. From this position put your foot on the brake in order to stabilise the Rotastand and encourage the patient using the handlebar, to pull themselves into a standing position. If more assistance is required then a second nurse may assist the patient to stand using a handling belt around their waist.
Once in the standing position, take your foot off the brake and gently rotate the the rotastand to the position required and encourage the patient to sit. reversing the above procedure.
